In the 1950s, Peter Mercer and Ian McDonald established their veterinary practice on Loughborough Road in Belgrave. It is from this practice that Bell Brown and Bentley has developed into three successful branches across Leicester.
After several changes of partnership it was 1989 that saw the settling of a successful working relationship that continues to thrive today. Richard Bell, Colin Brown and David Bentley each run one of the branches of the practice and continue to deliver the residents of Leicestershire with exceptional veterinary care.
Richard joined Mr Mercer in 1976 after showing the practice his expertise in both small and large animal work. In 1979, whist still a veterinary student, Colin impressed them both so much he was offered a job at the practice. Finally, David spent the bulk of his ‘seeing practice’ as a veterinary student at the practice. He was then offered a job, when it became available, 6 years after qualifying.
Over 50 years of dedicated animal service has put Bell Brown and Bentley in the highly recommended category it finds itself in today. Boasting revolutionary equipment and the highest standard of care, you can have your pet seen by not only a veterinary professional, but by one of the owners of the practice.
